The wait is over. The Bitkey wallet is officially out of pre-orders and is now shipping to your doorstep. We’re excited to help customers get their bitcoin off exchanges and take control of their money with a self-custody wallet that’s secure and easy-to-use.
Since launching pre-orders in December, the Bitkey team has been hard at work building additional features while putting the final touches to the Bitkey app (available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store).
- Recovery: Safety of your funds is the core of Bitkey. Even if customers lose both their phone and their Bitkey hardware, simple recovery tools like Trusted Contacts allow customers to safely recover their funds by relying on the people they know to help verify their recovery request.
- Control: It’s important our customers have full control of their bitcoin. This means having the peace of mind that they’ll never lose access to their funds. Additional features like Emergency Access provide customers with a guaranteed way to retain control of their funds even if the Bitkey app (and the Bitkey team) were to disappear.
- Convenience: Lastly, using the Bitkey wallet should be a seamless and convenient experience. Through our global partnerships with Cash App and Coinbase, customers can now easily and safely transfer and buy bitcoin using our partner’s platforms directly within the Bitkey app.
